Why do we tolerate liars?

In a speech at a 2002 anti-war rally, Barack Obama said, "Saddam poses no imminent and direct threat to the United States." He went on to say a U.S. invasion aimed at overthrowing Saddam would be "a dumb war," "a rash war…….a war based not on reason but on passion." This was the Obama view after Saddam used chemical weapons against Kurds in northern Iraq.
Dead Kurdish citizens gassed by Saddam Hussein
Now that Obama has control of the Pentagon he had this to say about using the military, "What message will we send if a dictator can gas hundreds of children to death in plain sight and pay no price?"
For Barack Obama floating standards are a way of life. The media is his accomplice. "The president does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation," he told the Boston Globe in December 2007 when Bush was president.
Now Obama is saying Syria’s Assad must go and he added this, "I have the authority to carry out this military action without specific congressional authorization." Really? How does this square with his comments on Saddam?
The big question is this: How long are we going to allow this president and his fellow Democrats like Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, and so many of the Democrats in Congress to lie about the powers vested with role of Commander in Chief?
For anyone paying attention, Obama's lies on what the powers of the presidency are is just the tip of the iceberg.
“If you like the insurance you have right now, you can keep it,” he promised Americans.
News flash to the American people. You are being had by a bunch of con artists.
