One hundred and eighty degrees - the philosophical flips of Reid and Obama

We have all seen them. Televisions specials that spell out in excruciating detail how dozens of U.S. government bureaucracies simply piss away tax dollars by the hundreds of millions if not billions. We all watch these outrageous exposes and we get mad. We scream we should put a stop to this despicable waste once and for all.

Barack Obama himself capitalized on this common sense sentiment back in 2008 when he promised to “go over the federal budget line by line” and eliminate the waste. Unfortunately, Obama was either lying or completely insincere. He has done nothing of the sort. The Obama government is pissing away tax dollars at the most incredible rate in the history of mankind. His bureaucrats pee streams of taxpayer dollars down the toilet at rates that boggle the mind.

How do they get away with it? It is simple. Using baseline budgeting (if you are so uninformed you don’t know what this is I can’t help you), government always gets more the following year than what they got the previous year. So much more money in fact, that at the end of the fiscal years bureaucrats feel compelled to piss away what they couldn’t waste earlier to make sure they do not get a budget cut. It is another ritual unique to government. In Washington, government employees are always saying they don’t have enough money. Of course they don’t. It is because they piss money away as a way of life.

Now we arrive at the latest budget battle in October of 2013. The Senate Democrats are content to use last year’s budget total, plus the baseline budgeting processes automatic increases. Why not? Even Democrats realize the economy stinks and we are borrowing at a rate that will destroy us.

On the other hand, the GOP is demanding budgetary discipline and equal treatment for everyone under Obamacare.  Democrats want desperately to use a continuing resolution to get what they want, which is last year’s spending rate plus the normal increases. The GOP won’t give it to them. Hence we have a “crisis.”

The way all budget crisis situations get solved is the party in power gets a debt limit increase. Ironically, this is the same solution the formerly principled Barack Obama railed against when he was a senator. Obama now coyly admits he was just being “political” back then when he opposed debt limit increases. Is Obama political now? Just listen to his BS. He certainly is not! He is now an all-American guy who simply wants to protect the "full faith and credit" of his country.

What happened? Why has Obama flipped on debt ceiling increases? It seems that now he realizes he has the golden opportunity to piss away taxpayer dollars for things he likes. So accordingly, his new nasty accusations require a one hundred and eighty degree flip.

According to 2013 Obama (not 2006 Obama), Americans are to believe the GOP is irresponsible all over again. Ironically, the GOP today is saying exactly what Obama was saying seven years ago. And equally ironically, according to 2013 Obama, the GOP, which now refuses to borrow  “enough,” is more immoral than ever because it says what he said seven years ago.

Apparently, according to this man with the remarkably flexible moral compass, we are to believe that more borrowing has suddenly become completely “moral” instead of completely "immoral." It is hard to keep up if you want to stay informed, isn't it?

This man, the president, actually says all of these absurd things with a straight face because he is used to getting away with lies and deception. Obama can do this in America without being held accountable by people who actually have the video tapes in their archives (the news media). Actually you can find all of this hypocrisy on Youtube too.

The floating ethical standards of Barrack Obama and Harry Reid (who made similar assertions in 2006) are nothing if not nauseating.

Do you think the main stream news media is going to play video tapes of Obama or Reid protesting debt limit increases seven years ago on the evening news? Think again. These men get more cover for bald faced lies than any American politicians who ever lived. And why not? Obama can lie through his teeth. Nobody wants to appear to be speaking poorly about a black man. Even if he is the biggest liar to occupy the White House since Richard Nixon.
