Why a blog?

A few times a months I get asked if I am on Facebook. At one time I attempted to maintain a Facebook page. However, for me the tasks associated with trying maintain a Facebook page and respond made me feel like I was too much of a marketing target. While unquestionably useful for millions of people, the Facebook platform created a never-ending series of annoyances for me that outweighed the advantages. Still, I like taking advantage of the digital age. Sharing ideas, experiences, and photos is fun. In creating this blog I was able to get what I like most from technology......control. Here I can display my favorite photos, announce my plans, share my past experiences, and even provide my opinions on current events for anyone who might wonder what I think about subjects like politics and religion. Anyone who cares to come to this small corner of cyberspace is WELCOME.
