Chicken Little Loves Climate Change Research Grants

Just this week Atlanta experienced the lowest high temperature on record. The ratio of new record lows to new record highs all over the Midwest this summer has been downright lopsided in favor of new lows. In short it has been cold.
Let’s see. These are not exactly data points that confirm the massive trends of “global warming” that seemed so downright unmistakable as far back as twenty-five years ago.
Here is a fact; There has been no change whatsoever in global surface temperatures in the last fifteen years. Additionally, the size of the Antarctic ice cap is setting new all-time record highs.
When is the news media going to start holding climate change alarmists accountable for predictions that turn out to be totally bogus year after year after year? Just six year ago the BBC posted an article containing this apocalyptic statement: “Scientists in the US have presented one of the most dramatic forecasts yet for the disappearance of Arctic sea ice,” said the BBC article. “Their latest modeling studies indicate northern polar waters could be ice-free in summers within just 5-6 years,” it continued.
Apparently Al Gore actually cited these same predictions during his acceptance speech at the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Oslo. Ooops. Houston, we have a problem. The problem is the science behind climate change-global warming assertions does not have any predictive value. The summer in the Arctic this year ended much earlier than usual. And it did so with incredibly high levels of ice cap in the region.
Here's a news flash; Real science has to have some predictive value. Your predictions can't be way off for decades and still call yourself a dedicated scientist in search of the truth......if you refuse to go back to the drawing board. The response of those people with PhD's cashing billions in climate change grant checks from the government is not to re-visit their failed models and question the basic assumptions of their underlying premises. This would be a standard procedure for all intellectually honest researchers making such flawed predictions. Instead those on the research grant take wink and nod while the radical environmentalist groups supporting their ruses provide political and public relations cover.  They use derogatory terms usually reserved for religious fanatics. They simply hurl slander at those who don’t have the same faith after the predictions from their academic prophets (or is that profits?) fail to materialize. “Denier” is the nasty label slapped on anyone who dares to expect expensive bogus predictions to be held accountable.
Not surprisingly the predictions of climate change doom and gloom continue to flow at roughly the same rate as the research grants despite the chilly summer of 2013. However, perhaps the tide has turned with the man on the street. A recent Washington Post poll on global warming found that only 26% of the respondents trusted scientists “completely” while 35% trusted them “not at all” on the question of climate change and/or man-caused global warming. Still, the majority in America continues to vote for people who establish policies that drive up energy costs, drive down living standards, and funnel money to their buddies in the green arena. Finally it seems that the public smells something funny about all of these record low temperatures and the gigantic Antarctic ice cap (despite no mainstream media coverage). But still, the pigs making one bogus prediction after another are continuing to steal tax payers blind. When will voters realize they are being fleeced like sheep? Who knows?
