Three things

Each day it grows more difficult to watch the news. In the last few weeks I have been reminded about three things that Democrats pound into our heads through the media they control. We can learn plenty about how badly our culture has been poisoned by the state run education monopoly and progressives by thinking about these three contradictions.

Some observant individual was suggesting that the problem with Malaysia is that it is becoming overun by people who are Muslim radicals leading to security risks. The counter-argument by the Democrat was that Americans should NOT judge ALL MUSLIMS by the actions of a few lunatics. It occurred to me that almost every single day there is a Democrat somewhere (with friends gathered around a microphone) literally demanding a unilateral repeal of the 2nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Why? Because they have already judged ALL American gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.

Just a few weeks ago when Ted Cruz and other supposedly crazy Tea Party types suggested America exercise some financial discipline, we all heard about how the money for Social Security checks would stop immediately because there would be no money. I really wonder why we never hear about welfare money for able-bodied Americans running out? It would seem that the only distinction for the money running out is that Social Security check recipients worked for their money and welfare check recipients didn't.

Late last year President Obama and other Democrats in Congress were literally bragging about the Food Stamp Program. This program is administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. There is sheer joy amongst Democrats now that their bureaucrats are giving away the greatest number of free Meals and Food Stamps ever. It seems that 47 million people are getting something for nothing from the Ag Dept. And at a different cabinet department (Interior) just a few blocks away, the National Park Service bureaucrats have a standing policy for ALL park visitors, who are admonished to NOT "Feed the Animals." The stated reason for this policy is based on scientifically verified biological behaviors. "The animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves."

You tell me whether this government is not more interested in controlling people though dependence on handouts by conditioning them to think they cannot take care of themselves.
