Murders both high and low profile

Yesterday's rant was a satirical look at the idea of knife control. I pretended to be a Democrat thinking of ways to make us safer. Unfortunately history teaches us that there is more in common than merely the use of a GUN in some of the most notorious murders in U.S. history. Try these 19 facts on for size.

1. In 1865 a Democrat shot and killed Abraham Lincoln, President of the United States.
2. In 1881 a left wing radical Democrat shot James Garfield, President of the United States   who later died from the wound.
3. In 1963 a radical left wing socialist shot and killed John F. Kennedy, President of the United States .
4. In 1975 a left wing radical Democrat fired shots at Gerald Ford, President of the United States .
5. In 1983 a registered Democrat shot and wounded Ronald Reagan, President of the United States .
6. In 1984 James Hubert, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 22 people in a McDonalds restaurant.
7. In 1986 Patrick Sherrill, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 15 people in an Oklahoma post office.
8. In 1990 James Pough, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 10 people at a GMAC office.
9. In 1991 George Hennard, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 23 people in a Luby's cafeteria.
10. In 1995 James Daniel Simpson, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 5 coworkers in a Texas laboratory.
11. In 1999 Larry Asbrook, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 8 people at a church service.
12. In 2001 a left wing radical Democrat fired shots at the White House in a failed attempt to kill George W. Bush, President of the US .
13. In 2003 Douglas Williams, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 7 people at a Lockheed Martin plant.
14. In 2007 a registered Democrat named Seung - Hui Cho, shot and killed 32 people in Virginia Tech.
15. In 2010 a mentally ill registered Democrat named Jared Lee Loughner, shot Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and killed 6 others.
16. In 2011 a registered Democrat named James Holmes, went into a movie theater and shot and killed 12 people.
17. In 2012 Andrew Engeldinger, a disgruntled Democrat, shot and killed 7 people in Minneapolis .
18. In 2013 a registered Democrat named Adam Lanza, shot and killed 26 people in a school.
19. As recently as Sept 2013, Aaron Alexis, an angry Democrat shot 12 at a Navy ship yard.

Perhaps we should keep going, but you probably get the point. Or do you? The mainstream media types at ABC, NBC, MSNBC, CBS, CNN, the New York Times, and the Washington Post etc. etc. do not get the point when they talk about extremism. And they surely do not want you to get the point or truth either. Not one of these nineteen murders involved an NRA member, a Tea Party member, or a Republican conservative.

However, every time there is a high profile shooting you can bank on every outlet except Fox News looking first to see if the perpetrator is a registered Republican. Sometimes they are. But much more often in all killings the perpetrators are not Republicans, nope they are Democrats. When the killer is a Democrat the media says nothing. This explains why black -on-black gun crime in places like Chicago is not highlighted for the cultural depravity it is. Instead it is swept under the table and ignored. It is not about the tragedy of precious lives lost, it is about promoting a political philosophy that worships the government and expands its power.
